The Four Phases That Guide a Backyard Wedding from Start to Finish

Backyard weddings are different.

You are not just planning a celebration. You are creating the space, the flow, and the feeling.

This is the four-phase approach I use to guide backyard brides through both the logistics and the love.

From Celebrate Them to Carry Love Forward.

Which phase are you in right now?

Welcome! Before We Begin, Take A Moment.

A couple years after my father’s passing, and during the early shaping of this program, I came across a writing of his.  He wrote:

“The love you have for yourself—that love helps you define who you are.”

That stopped me.

Because those words are soul-deep.
They speak to something much deeper than weddings.
They speak to worth.
To presence.
To the quiet knowing that who you are matters before anything you do or create.

And all of it begins there.

Dear one, you are precious.
Just as you are.
And you are doing something meaningful.

You are choosing to celebrate your love in a space that already holds life, history, and connection.
A backyard.
A place that matters.
A place under the stars.

And because a moment like this matters so deeply, the responsibility of holding it well can feel heavier than anyone expects.

I learned that truth firsthand during my daughter’s backyard wedding.
And I have seen it again and again in every backyard wedding I have supported since.

And that's why we're here.

At the heart of my work is helping backyard brides hold both the logistics and the love.
Because when the logistics are in place, there is room for love.
And when love is centered, the logistics fall into place.

In your corner, always...
